"Mangrove Farm"
Estero Bay, FL
We're lucky in that we're not short on mangroves here in SW Florida. However, we must not take that for granted. I hope it never changes but as we know, unfortunate things do happen to our environment. Looks like someone has started a small mangrove farm. I found about 10 cut pieces of bamboo stuck in the ground and most have small mangroves stuck in them and they have begun to take root. I wish that I had inspected the bamboo a little closer now. I would think that they would have holes in the body of the bamboo to allow for water flow. I didn't see any holes but then again, I didn't inspect below the water line. I will go back and take a closer look. BTW, this was at high tide. |
